Today we talk to Julia Glukhoy from Moogbee about her creative journey in October as part of my Month In The Life series.
Julia Glukhoy is the artist/illustrator behind Moogbee, currently living in the quiet countryside of Pennsylvania, America with her husband, four children, three chickens, one dog, and one cat. Originally from Kiev, Ukraine Julia has lived in Luchegorsk, Rome, Vienna, and New York. She originally studied Biotechnology and now as an artist sees the correlation between the two subjects, as she says “They both build of ideas and small parts, to build something bigger. With my science background I have a keen eye for details and patterns”. She recently started painting and illustrating and also does freelance design for clients to pay the bills, while taking art classes online to help her further develop her skills.

Over to you Julia, tell us how October went for you:
6th I started learning hand drawing vector with Sabina from Design Garden
9th I painted this sweet holiday card using watercolors for Lilla’s Make Art That Sells class part B
15th I am learning to keep my color palette simple containing only few colors, and experimenting with these warm new shades which I got this month.
16th I participated in The Great Big Stitched Postcard Swap and made this little card for Bee!
22nd I enjoy my afternoon ritual of cinnamon coffee with almonds.
23rd I created my first vector hand drawings of vintage typewriters and cameras, for scrapbooking project which we did in Lilla’s class.
24th I took lots and lots of notes this months. Listening and learning.
25th I received my cheerful card from Bee in The Great Big Stitched Postcard Swap. It touched my heart! I totally love this card!
31st Sneak peak into my new design which I am working on this months.
Hope you enjoyed a little bit about my journey!
