Month in the Life: Sam Osborne September

Already this month we’ve heard from Monika ForsbergJennifer Orkin LewisMegan K Ball Linda Tieu so now I thought I’d share my September with you!

September was a really fun month with lots going on! I started the month with a very special day celebrating a Christening and a 100th birthday in one day and by the end of the month another big celebration was on my mind with my Christmas shop getting ready for the busy season! There were a fun trips out to a wallpaper factory, the London Design Festival and a local food festival that were full of inspiration. And thankfully the weather was kind – I was happy to still be wearing my flip flops at the end of the month!

My September Highlights:

3rd: A new series of #365Patterns using my Rainbow Collections icons as starting points. I even made a video of me creating one!

11th:  Took a trip to Ansty Wallpapers with my good friend Poppy. We learned about all the different methods of printing and got seriously excited about the prospect of creating our own!

12th: A fab feature on Megan K Balls Busk & Libby website all about me and my business as part of her Do What You Love series

14th: Spent Saturday night with the awesome Oh My Handmade Goodness crowd on a virtual work party where we learned all about watercolours and chatted for hours! Super fun

15th: We headed into London for the London Design Festival. First stop of the day was the Type Tasting sessions where we got to illustrate the letters of our favourite word, you can find out more about what we saw and got up to in my LDF blog post

20th: Took an afternoon out to do some comp shopping, market research and look for some homewares inspiration

24th: Brand new typographic prints available in the shop

25th: Set-up my Yes You Can print as a free download!

28th: Thame Food Festival was a real treat for the eyes and the tastebuds!
