For the past year or so I’ve been working with the lovely Emma May on her new venture, the Simple Pleasures Sewing School.
Having already completed the brand work for Emma’s custom sewing and soft furnishing business, the Simple Pleasures Sewing School offered a chance to create something connected but with a totally different personality!
The whole project included branding, website and lot’s of lovely print work like flyers, banners and packaging for sewing kits! The logo is based on a collection of colourful pins with a fun, slightly retro colour scheme and stitching naturally appears a lot in the styling of the brand, both in the font and around the circle elements used to add colour and fun across all elements, there’s even a branded repeat pattern (perfect for use on fabric!). I also went along to the amazing sewing machine workshops to take the images for the website and packaging. The website itself, developed with the help of the enormously awesome Awemous, is a clear and simple site that allows you to book places on the courses and workshops and discover everything you need to know about the school.
