I was recently approached by Save The Children to create a series of illustrations for a poster and leaflet to help children understand what they can expect from those looking after them.
Working with the charity’s in-house design and marketing team I created a series of 13 illustrations to go on a four page A4 leaflet that folds out to an A3 poster
The black and white sketched style was in keeping with the brand guidelines and gives the design a friendly, approachable look.
The characters for the ‘Who can you tell’ section are friendly and diverse.
Some subject matter was quite difficult and finding a way to illustrate each so that children with low literacy levels could understand without being frightened was key.
The final layouts were put together in-house using my illustrations as a framework.
